Bespoke Ecommerce
The Framed Picture Company, based in Malton, North Yorkshire, are an artisan, bespoke picture framing company. They provide fine art prints of famous artworks but their most popular product involves people uploading their own photographs and then creating the product they want.

Editing an Image
Once an image is uploaded and a product is selected, the software will automatically choose the nearest available aspect ratio to the actual image dimensions. The customer can choose a different aspect ratio and edit the crop to match. There are also options to rotate the image, choose black and white and more.

Choosing Frames, Sizes and Mounts
Each aspect ratio has several set sizes to match. A frame can be selected and the preview system shows the uploaded image in the frame. As sizes are changed the preview reloads to show the correct image to frame ratio.
As well as frames, mounts can be changed in terms of size and colours and these show in the preview as they are changed. The preview also includes a room preview so that you can see the framed image on a background to match your wall colour.

The Cart
Stripe is used as the payment gateway allowing for payment via credit or debit card, ApplePay, GPay and Klarna.

The CMS
There are full management functions so The Framed Picture Company staff can see orders, update progress, despatch, etc. It also includes the pricing functions for frames and delivery, automated invoicing, and automated despatch notes.
The CMS includes functions to interrogate sales data to see which frames, products, sizes and aspect ratios are most poular. This enables decisions to be made on stock levels, and whether to remove certain frames from the system.
